They perhaps want a new challenge to keep their brain active. Some have connections to Germany, want to know more about the country and its culture or need some basic conversational skills because a visit is planned.

Others learnt German at school but found that it was taught too academically and wish to take it up again but with a more practical approach.

Sometimes a translation service isn’t enough, but you need a ‘hands-on’ collaboration with a mother tongue speaker who can work things through with you.

• You have advertising material in English but you need advice on texts and visual appearances best suited to the German market without having to find an advertising agency with the relevant experience.
